There is a particular energy to Monaco between June and August that no other destination quite replicates. The Principality compresses an extraordinary density of world-class sport, culture, philanthropy and music into three months, set against a backdrop of the Mediterranean at its most luminous. Whether you are a resident, a seasonal visitor, or considering a longer stay in the Principality, Monaco summer events 2026 offer a calendar that is, by any measure, exceptional. Here is what not to miss.
Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco: 4 to 7 June
No event defines Monaco more completely than the Grand Prix. The 83rd edition of this legendary race takes place across the weekend of 4 to 7 June 2026, with free practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday, and the race itself on Sunday 7 June at 15:00 local time. The Circuit de Monaco, 3.337 kilometres of street circuit winding through the Principality’s most iconic neighbourhoods, remains the most technically demanding and visually spectacular race on the Formula One calendar.
What makes Monaco unique, beyond the circuit itself, is the experience that surrounds it. Port Hercule transforms for the weekend into one of the world’s most exclusive viewing venues, with superyachts and luxury charter vessels lining the harbour, their decks offering some of the most sought-after vantage points in sport. Terraces overlooking Sainte-Dévote, hospitality suites at the Casino, private dinners above the Rascasse: the Grand Prix weekend is as much a social and lifestyle event as a sporting one. The most coveted positions require booking well in advance.
Monte-Carlo Television Festival : 12 to 16 June
From 12 to 16 June 2026, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival brings together stars, screenings and the Golden Nymph competition at the Grimaldi Forum. This edition marks the 65th anniversary of the festival, a milestone moment in its history. The week combines official ceremonies, a fan zone on the red carpet, and genuine access to the creative talent behind the world’s most discussed television productions. For those with an interest in contemporary culture, it is one of the most distinctive events on the Principality’s calendar, and one of the few where the atmosphere is as much about ideas as it is about glamour.
Fête de la Musique: 21 June
Every year on the summer solstice, Monaco joins France and cities across the world in celebrating music in its most democratic form. On 21 June, performances appear across the Principality, from street corners to public squares, spanning every genre and every level of formality. Free, spontaneous, and genuinely festive, the Fête de la Musique is a reminder that Monaco’s cultural life extends well beyond its grand institutions.
La Note Bleue Summer Festival: from 28 May to 29 August
Longines Global Champions Tour — Jumping International de Monte-Carlo: 2 to 4 July
One of the most visually extraordinary events on the Monaco summer calendar, the Jumping International de Monte-Carlo takes place on Port Hercule from 2 to 4 July, as part of the prestigious Longines Global Champions Tour. The 2026 edition is a particularly significant one: it marks twenty years of excellence in the Principality, and coincides with the Year of the Horse in the Chinese calendar.
What makes this event genuinely unlike any other on the equestrian circuit is its setting. The track is installed directly in the heart of Port Hercule, at the foot of the Prince’s Palace ramparts, with superyachts moored just metres from the arena. Horses are stabled on the port itself, two strides from the water. The combination of technical difficulty, reminiscent in its demands for precision of the Formula One circuit that crosses the same streets, and the sheer visual theatre of the setting, has made Monaco one of the most emblematic venues on the international jumping calendar. Honorary President Charlotte Casiraghi and H.S.H. Prince Albert II are patrons of the event, which consistently attracts the world’s equestrian elite alongside a VIP audience that reflects the full breadth of Monaco society. VIP boxes with welcome lounge and gourmet dinner overlooking the harbour are available across all three days.
Monte-Carlo Summer Festival: 3 July to 15 August
The Monte-Carlo Summer Festival 2026 is, by any standard, one of the strongest lineups the Principality has assembled in recent years. Curated by Société des Bains de Mer artistic director Alfonso Ciulla around the guiding concept of « to dare », the festival runs across two of Monaco’s most iconic venues: the Salle des Étoiles at Sporting Monte-Carlo, which has hosted legends including Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and Tina Turner, and the Opéra Garnier Monte-Carlo, offering a more intimate and theatrical counterpoint.
The programme is exceptional in breadth and ambition, with more than half of the performers appearing at the festival for the first time. Opening night on 3 July features Sébastien Tellier at the Opéra Garnier. From 7 July, multi-Grammy Award winner Jon Batiste launches the main programme at the Salle des Étoiles, followed by Jason Derulo on 8 July. Colombian artist Juanes, recently named Best Latin Rock/Pop Artist of the 21st Century by Billboard, performs on 23 July. John Legend follows on 26 July with an intimate evening of songs and personal storytelling. Vanessa Paradis takes the stage at the Opéra Garnier on 31 July. Each Salle des Étoiles evening is preceded by a performance from the Ultramarine Girls Band, whose high-energy repertoire spanning pop, rock and Latin hits made them one of the most warmly received acts of the 2025 edition.
Monaco Red Cross Gala: 18 July
The Monaco Red Cross Gala stands among the most prestigious charitable events in the world. Chaired by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, the 77th edition takes place on 18 July at the Salle des Étoiles. For 2026, the centrepiece of the evening is the world premiere of SOUL!, a powerful new production celebrating the journey of Afro-American music from past to present, produced exclusively by Sporting Monte-Carlo. Since its founding in 1948, the Gala has brought together philanthropists, celebrities and royalty from across Europe for an evening that is simultaneously one of the most glamorous and one of the most purposeful on the international social calendar. Past performers at the Gala include Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Elton John, Stevie Wonder and Lionel Richie.
Herculis EBS Diamond League Meeting: 10 July
The Herculis EBS Monaco, ranked the world’s fourth-best athletics meeting in 2025, takes place at the Stade Louis II. The 2026 edition has already secured Faith Kipyegon, the Kenyan middle-distance champion, as its headline name. One of the most prestigious events on the Diamond League circuit, Herculis consistently attracts the world’s finest track and field athletes to a venue where the proximity between spectators and competitors is unmatched in European athletics.
Summer Concerts at the Prince's Palace: 9 July to 6 August
From 9 July to 6 August 2026, the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra returns to perform in the spectacular Courtyard of the Prince’s Palace, offering six exceptional evenings featuring internationally renowned conductors and soloists. This historic concert series, initiated by Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace, has been a defining feature of Monaco’s cultural summer calendar for over sixty years. The setting is, by any measure, without comparison: the open courtyard of the Palace on the Rock, with the Mediterranean below and the stars above, provides one of the most extraordinary stages for classical music anywhere in the world.

A summer unlike any other
What distinguishes Monaco summer events 2026, even by the Principality’s own standards, is the extraordinary range of what is on offer. World championship motor racing and equestrian sport, classical music and contemporary pop, intimate beachside concerts and grand ceremonial galas. Monaco in summer is not simply a place to be seen. It is a place where the calendar itself makes the most compelling argument for why the Principality remains, year after year, the most extraordinary address on the Mediterranean.
